North House is prominently situated on North John Street in the heart of Liverpool’s Commercial Business District. Formerly serviced offices, once completed, the building will provide 43 one and two bed apartments on its upper floors.

La Vina restaurant currently occupies the ground floor and is to remain open throughout the construction phase. A key consideration of the M&E design was to ensure that the restaurant suffers no downtime as a result of the works.

7 Water Street

Built in 1899, the Grade II listed building, situated in the heart of Liverpool’s business district was purpose built as the Head Office of the Bank of Liverpool. In recent years, the building has been known as ‘Il Palazzo’ and provided several serviced offices for a wide range of local businesses.

Once completed, it will provide 10 luxury duplex and triplex apartments on its upper floors, while the ground floor will be home to a new restaurant and bar. The basement is to be reconfigured to house a commercial kitchen, ‘back of house’ and associated staff areas as well as toilet facilities for the restaurant patrons.

NECO Service Design have been employed to design the mechanical and electrical services on this prestigious project and have a commitment to maintaining the heritage of the building while assisting with the conservation process.

Coleman’s Fireproof Depository

  • Location: Liverpool
  • Client: Maddison Develop Ltd.
  • M&E Contract Value: £350,000

The iconic building, known for its unique façade, was built in 1900 and was originally used as a safe storage facility for expensive items such as pianos, legal documents and jewellery. The building had been empty for the best part of 30 years before developers Maddison Develop bought the building and announced plans to convert it into 27 luxury loft style apartments.

NECO Services Design were commissioned to carry out the detailed design of the M&E services consisting of energy efficient infrared panel heaters, domestic hot & cold water, mechanical extract ventilation, above ground drainage, smoke ventilation, dry riser, general & emergency lighting, small power, data, CCTV, fire alarm, intruder alarm and door entry system.

In addition to the above services NECO also co-ordinated the upgrade of the existing incoming utility supplies, liaising closely with the relevant utility providers throughout.

Cherry Lane Farm

  • Location: Lymm, Cheshire
  • Client: Moorcroft Construction
  • M&E Contract Value: £200,000

The project consists of the conversion and extension to the existing barn to form four luxury dwellings.

NECO Services Design were commissioned to carry out the detailed design of the M&E services consisting of underfloor heating, domestic hot & cold water, ventilation, above ground drainage, sprinkler system, general & emergency lighting, small power, data, CCTV, fire alarm, intruder alarm and door entry system.

In addition to the above services we also proposed a photovoltaic (PV) system, which was mounted on the roof of one of the dwellings to help reduce electrical consumption and assisted in achieving compliance with Part L SAP calculation.
