YKK is a Japanese owned business, known as the world’s largest zipper manufacturer. At their UK headquarters in Runcorn, they required a new purpose-built R&D Facility to provide a high tech, energy efficient environment that would encourage further developments and portray a feeling of professionalism, expertise and forward vision.
We were commissioned to carry out the mechanical and electrical design for the new facility, which was the construction of a 2 storey building with ground & first floor offices with a 1400m² factory area housing YKK’s product development team.
